At the movies watching "Planes Two" - By Naomi

At the movies Dad, Emma, Hannah, Brooklyn, Ollie and me went into movie theater to see and watch Planes Two.  My favourite part of the movie was when Dusty got a new outfit that was red and white. My least favourite part was the big fire. When I got home I wrote about Lego movie, Planes, Frozen, Despicable Me and Wreck it Ralph.  They are all of my favourite movies.

Brooklyn and Ollie are my friends. They don't go to my school. I am going to miss Brooklyn and Ollie when I am in Canada.

When we got back my toys were gone. I felt sad. My toys went into a box to go on to a boat, except my favourite toys: my dog "Føfi", my blanket "meep meep" and mumma Føfi, jellyfish and my Samantha doll.  They are going on the plane with us. Meep Meep is going to cover over me and help me get to sleep. Føfi will just tickle me and I will go to sleep.

Tonight for dinner we had Fondu - chicken, beef, and pork and lots of vegetables. It was fun.

It was fun today.

Tomorrow we are going to school. While I am at school, the movers come and pack everything up.

The Return!

The girls on 90 Mile Beach
In 50 days we return to Canada after almost 8 years in New Zealand. Our family has grown to five now with our three girls - Emma (12), Naomi (6.5), and Hannah (4.5). We have met many friends and enjoyed the adventure. Now a new adventure calls us north. Craig will begin work at Appleby College in Oakville in January. We have rented a home in nearby Milton and enrolled all three girls in the local primary school. For the first time, they can all walk to school.

On Tuesday the movers come to begin packing us up. Wednesday the container leaves our house on its long trek around the globe. Apparently we can track the container online!

Naomi and Hannah

Cape Reinga. Next stop: Vancouver (11,222km)
While it is an exciting time, it is also a sad time. We have all made wonderful friends and will miss them. However, with modern technology (like this blog) we do hope to keep in touch.

We look forward to being closer to family and seeing snow. We will miss the beautiful New Zealand summers and beaches and our friends here. However, we hope to see a few Kiwis in Canada in the future!
